I have no idea to write about. Then again, most days I'm never too sure on what to write about. I must not be that interesting. I'm sorry...LOL Ok...here we go...
Well, let me start off by stating that I went on a date last night. A date! Literally, the opening doors and a good night kiss kind of date. He was a gentleman all around. I have to be honest, and I know I'm still young at this, but I didn't think guys still did that kind of stuff! I was just wowed beyond words. I had a great time and I can honestly say I wouldn't mind doing it again. I sit here and ponder the idea, and it makes me grin from ear-to-ear. Is that silly? I feel like it’s all new to me and it very much is in a way. However, at the same time, it’s like I’ve been through the ringer and back and just 2 weeks ago I would’ve told you that I wouldn’t even have thought of going on a date with anyone. Once you’ve gone to emotional hell and back, there’s a promise a person makes with themselves and they vow to respect it. Never again. That’s what I told myself. Never again would I let myself get hurt like I did. So now, with all respect to my date last night, I am going to open up a little bit and take it with a grain of salt. No two people are alike (and nobody’s perfect!), so I really have nothing to lose. So, bring on more dates like last nights! (Can you tell I’m a bit elated? I have every right though, it’s been awhile since I’ve been this happy. So let me gloat!)
I will leave you with these two quotes I stumbled across today in lieu of Valentine’s Day. One light, one heavy. Enjoy and have a great weekend!!
You have to walk carefully in the beginning of love; the running across fields into your lover's arms can only come later when you're sure they won't laugh if you trip. ~Jonathan Carroll, "Outside the Dog Museum"
Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity. ~Henry Van Dyke
